I care about the parts of a product people actually feel — how fast it loads, whether the interface explains itself, whether it still works on a bad connection. Most of that comes down to decisions made early, so I like being in the conversation before the first line of code.
Away from the editor I read more than I ship, tinker with things that have no business being automated, and lose entire evenings to problems nobody asked me to solve. It turns out to be the most reliable way I learn anything.

I’ve worked as an independent developer for over eight years, with startups and agencies across Europe, North America, and Asia — usually as the person who takes a design and makes it real.
The role shifts by project. Sometimes it’s the whole build from schema to deploy; sometimes it’s joining a team mid-flight to untangle performance or rebuild a front end that outgrew its foundations.

Working software over plans
Something running beats something described. I’d rather put a rough version in front of you in week one and adjust than spend a month agreeing on a document.
Boring technology, mostly
Proven tools leave more attention for the parts that are genuinely hard. I’ll reach for something novel when it earns its place, not because it’s new.
Built to be handed over
Code gets read far more often than it gets written. I write for whoever inherits it — including me, a year from now, with no memory of any of this.
